This piece is about the strength of family in its most general sense; the relatives or friends who make up our social support structures. The negative spaces represent the loved ones we have lost. These spaces are not only an integral and permanent part of the whole, they bind the unit closer as we help each other through and the structure maintains its integrity. The black sections represent those who feel this loss the most and how they are held close by this framework.
