I can never quite understand the prevalence of the Highland Cow in today’s popular art. Yes, they are beautiful looking cattle but how has it become such a trope in art? In order to explore this I have produced my own interpretation, therefore compounding the issue. So well done me.
‘Variations’ is a series of sculptures based on the same original form (a nod to Barbara Hepworth’s fondness of the stone monoliths found in her beloved Cornwall).
